House Gervais DURAND. Mahogany and mahogany veneer bouillotte table, opening to a belt drawer and three simulated ones. It rests on four sheath legs joined by a spacer shelf with concave sides. Chased and gilded bronze ornamentation such as draw handles, staples decorated with wrapped trophies, rods and hooves. Top of turquoise blue marble surrounded by a brass gallery. Stamped. Louis XVI style from the second half of the 19th century. High. : 77.5 cm - Diameter : 61 cm. Gervais-Maximilien DURAND, cabinetmaker awarded a silver medal at the 1889 Universal Exhibition, is both the designer and the maker of his furniture. He made many copies of the great cabinetmakers of the 18th century.
