A two-handled chased silver jam jar, the openwork body decorated with a scalloped laurel torus supported by knotted ribbons. The socket in the shape of a burst seed bordered by a decoration of embossed foliage on a matte background. The fixed frame in the form of a fluted shuttle decorated with flowers in amati. The border with nets and leafy clasps. The whole resting on four small feet (one fixation is missing). Paris, probably 1777-1779 - Master-gilder : M.E.J. (for the lid). Weight : 780,3 g Blue glass lining (damaged). Height : 15 cm. 15 cm - Length : 25,5 cm - Width : 17 cm
