Pair of chased and gilded bronze andirons representing a child on an acanthus scroll, his arms stretched towards the other end of the andiron to warm his hands towards a fire pot. They are joined by a fixed bar. Louis XVI style. Height : 34 cm 34 cm - Width : 128 cm - Depth : 14,5 cm After the model of Jean-François Forty made in bronze by Jean-Noël Turpin in 1785. A copy kept in the Camondo Museum in Paris. Erratum: an error has crept into our paper catalogue: the sheet for lot 339 corresponds to the photo of lot 348.
