Edition at 120 nominative copies of members and 45 copies of collaborators on wove paper, this one nominative copy of Mr. Henri Bertrand.
Exceptionally enriched copy with an autograph poem by Paul Fort, the model of the page "hymn to the shepherds" including the printed text, the gold ornaments and an original gouache by François-Louis Schmied, signed and annotated at the bottom right, and four original gouaches by François-Louis Schmied signed at the bottom right and annotated, constituting projects for the illustrations of the book.
Superb mute binding in full red calf, the first cover decorated with a composition in mosaic morocco after Schmied depicting a mountain landscape, the second cover in mosaic morocco with geometric decoration decorated with a dragonfly in chased gold on a background of eggshell lacquer, the wings and the head partly amati and enhanced with red lacquer, the whole circled with gold multiple nets, attributed to Jean Dunand, faithful collaborator of François-Louis Schmied for the lacquer of his bindings. Signed F.L.S at the bottom of the first counterplate. Beautiful mosaic morocco case with dark blue, plum and black squares on a black morocco background, squared with gilt fillets, title and author gilt on the back.
