Portico calendar clock in white marble, black marble and rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes; topped by an eagle resting on a thunderbolt framed by four flowering vases, the white enameled circular dial with three crowns of Arabic numerals in black and red indicating the hours, minutes and date, signed CARCEL le Jeune in Paris (chips to enamel and marble, one hand missing, bronzes to be refixed).
Late Louis XVI period.
Height : 60 cm - Width : 41.5 cm - Depth : 17 cm
Note : Alexandre Carcel dit le jeune, received the title of Master Watchmaker in 1788.
