Globe and armillary sphere in wood and papier-mâché (accidents, missing parts). Turned wood base.
The mobile globe is surrounded by a circle and four meridian quarter-circles linked to an equatorial table featuring the twelve signs of the Zodiac, the months and the cardinal points, topped by a circle with an iron needle indicating the hours.
Edition label "La Maison Delamarche à Paris, 1863".
The armillary sphere is composed of vertical rings and one horizontal ring representing the twelve signs of the Zodiac, surrounding a gilded metal terrestrial sphere.
Second half of the 19th century.
