Attributed to Félix DUBAN (1797-1870). Front of an antique house with amphorae, vases and masks. Watercolor on paper. Height 24.5 cm - Width 23 cm Wood and gilded stucco frame in the form of pilasters. Note: this work reflects his pronounced taste for Greco-Roman architecture and testifies to his stay in Italy, where he was deeply influenced by his visit to Pompeii and its colors. Winner of the Prix de Rome in 1823, Félix Duban became the leader of a new generation of architects alongside Jacques Hittorff.
