Antoniucci VOLTI (1915-1989). "Nocturne". Blue patina bronze sculpture signed and numbered 4/6. Mark of the SUSSE foundry in Paris. Height 33 cm - Width : 62 cm Attached is the artist's certificate of authenticity, handwritten, signed and dated June 14, 1982. Provenance: bought directly from the artist by the current owner in 1982. Note: Italian-born Antoniucci Volti settled in Paris in 1932. Known for his female nudes, and often compared to Aristide Maillol or Antoine Bourdelle for his powerful, round and sensual bodies, this bronze entitled "Nocturne" is a perfect illustration. Its blue patina lends it a special softness, inviting us to daydream.
