Bound in full contemporary morocco, the boards richly decorated with a wide framing of gilded fillets and friezes of leaves and twigs, ornamentation in small irons on the spandrels, with the coat of arms of Diane Le Long de Chenillac-Chateaumorand, wife of Honoré d'Urfé, in a central medallion, smooth spine decorated with framing fillets and friezes of twigs, all edges gilded. Ex-libris Josy Mazodier and two ex-libris of Comte Chandon de Briailles. (some stains to binding and title page, restorations to spines, corners and headpieces, clasps missing, endpapers missing).
