Antwerp, Plantin, Balthasaris Moreti, 1647. In-12, fifth edition of the French text, followed by the Latin text published by Plantin in 1647. The French text illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by Bosse after Baugin and 4 hors-texte engravings, 3 engraved by Bosse and Savreux after Baugin and one after Champaigne. Bound in full contemporary red morocco, with triple filleted boards bearing the arms of Louis-Henri de Pardaillan-Gondrin, Marquis de Montespan, gilded three-towered spandrels, richly decorated 5-rib spine, all edges gilt on marble. Copy entirely ruled in red. Ex-libris Josy Mazodier.
