ROUSSEAU (Jean-Baptiste). Oeuvres. Rotterdam, Fritsch Bohm, 1719. 3 volumes in one in-12, edition illustrated with 3 hors-texte engravings. Rebound copy in a full contemporary fawn calf binding, with double filleted boards bearing the arms of the de Chabannes family (probably Jacques de Chabannes, aide-de-camp to the Duke of Burgundy), 5-ribbed spine, red morocco titles and greefs. A copy in which some passages that were not printed because they were too crude have been restored in old handwriting. Ex-libris Josy Mazodier and ex-libris F. Renard, handwritten ex-libris "à Beaudieu" (?). (copy probably incomplete of the frontispieces and two engravings, missing upper cover, restorations to spines and corners, handwritten annotations in pencil and pen on endpapers).
