*The Prytanée National Militaire is one of France's six military high schools. The school is located in La Flèche, in the Sarthe department of the Pays de la Loire region, in the Maine angevin. In May 1607, in Fontainebleau, Henri IV signed the edict establishing the Collège Royal Militaire de La Flèche, in which he laid down the school's teaching program. He donated his "Château-Neuf" to the Jesuits and granted them the sum of 300,000 livres to build the establishment, as well as an annual income of 20,000 livres, drawn from the revenues of the abbeys of Bellebranche and Mélinais, and the priories of Luché, Saint-Jacques and l'Echeneau. An educational institution entrusted to the Jesuits with the aim of "instructing youth and making them fond of the sciences, honor and virtue, so as to be capable of serving the public".
**In 1843, the Count of Paris was Prince Jean d'Orléans. He was involved in projects to restore and promote French culture. He took part in initiatives such as the "Route Henri IV: Chemins d'Histoire en Eure-et-Loir" association, and paid tribute to elected municipal officials in the tribune du prince Jean d'Orléans, comte de Paris. These activities testify to his commitment to France and its citizens.
