Oudenaarde, Flanders, late 17th century. Important and fine tapestry in silk and wool. A river meanders in the middle of reeds, trees and shrubs dominate the scene. In the distance, on a hill, a castle and its fortifications. The border is a blue-Prussian frame with scrolls of old gold foliage. Height : 218 cm 218 cm - Width : 420 cm Border with the coat of arms of alliance surmounted by a ducal crown. The two coats of arms are surrounded, at the top and on the left by a swan representing the maternal branch and on the right by a lion representing the paternal branch.
