BAUDELAIRE (Charles). Les Fleurs du Mal. Paris, Librairie des Bibliophiles parisiens, 1917. In-8, critical edition containing an important bibliographical note on the work by Pierre Dufay and a photogravure portrait of Baudelaire. Edition of 72 numbered copies on Japon, this one n°57. Copy enriched with 12 engravings from the suite composed by Henry Chapron for the work in 1911, including a China engraving in the frontispiece, all signed in pencil by the artist. Bound in full morocco, the first plate decorated with a mosaic of a flower, spine with 5 nerves decorated with mosaic flowers in the boxes, counterplate framed in morocco, triple fillet and flowers in the spandrels. Signed Yseux sc. of Thierry Simier. Covers and spine preserved. Under slipcase. (spine faded, edges of the slipcase rubbed, significant foxing to one of the engravings)
