Frederick Arthur BRIDGMAN (1847 - 1928), attributed to. Women at the river of Bou Saada. Oil on panel signed and located lower right. Height : 26,5 cm 26,5 cm - Width : 35 cm Accompanied by a letter from the owner attesting the provenance of the painting. Note : Frederick Arthur BRIDGMAN of American origin, settled in France, joined the school of Pont Aven then continued his training in Paris. He then traveled for several years in North Africa and discovered the splendors of Egypt and Algeria. He developed a taste for the Orient and became one of the great representatives of Orientalism in painting. He brings to light and in colors, the beauty of oriental women, the daily life and the local costumes.
